1. I found their price on internet. 2. I called & the price quoted > price on internet. 3. I mention internet price and he explains I can order cheaper on net. Fine, thank you. 4. I mention being a Z-Club member, and ask for my discount. 5. He says everyone get's the same discount anyway. 6. I leave with an "ok, that was a lame" feeling. 7. I share about it on TT.Net to inform others of the experience looking for feedback, advice, cheaper alternative, shared experience, etc, which I got from most of you, thanks. This was the first time I've tried ordering parts from them or ANY vendor for my car, so I go on what I know. ...and btw.. No I wasn't overly rude, loud, or too out of line with the gentleman. I simply and calmly told him I thought that was lame... Forgive me but I speak my mind, and when I have a business experience like this, I don't whine to them, I don't ask for a manager, I don't waste any more of my time or theirs. I simply don't continue to do busness with them. Yes, I can understand having cheaper prices for online ordering, considering the low overhead. What bothered me is the gentleman getting an attitude when I mentioned the price difference, like something was my fault. Then when I asked if I get a discount for Z Club of Houston membership(I didn't even mention TT.NET), he said the internet prices already had the "discount" deducted. Hmm... ok. What bothered me about that is... Courtesy advertises a 25% discount to Z-Club members, but it's the same 25% that anyone get's anyway when ordering online. And I Pitty the person that DOESN'T know to check on the net and get's charged $20 more dollars a part, per item. If that's the way that want to do business, that's all fine & good, I just personally don't agree, or have to agree with it. And yes, in todays age with the resources I have at my fingertips through the internet, I do shop around for the best prices. I don't pay retail for hardly anything I buy worth much over $50. Is this wrong? Maybe. But I work hard for my money, and don't have alot of it, and want to get as good a deal on anything substancial that I buy as possible, period. Also, I notice that alot of the folks supporting Courtesy live in the Dallas area, which is where Courtesy is located. Perhaps if I too were a local customer and could just walk in the door, I may have had a different, more favorable experience. I am a human and am by no means perfect, nor do I handle every situation perfectly, & I definitely am not one to just try to stir shit up un-justly. Maybe the gentleman I spoke with was having a bad day. Who knows. I wish him and all of you the best. Have a good day.
